InLocality Queue - Overview
InLocality Queue is our technology for determining how long your queues are. It is most suitable for places like theme parks, airports and rail systems where people move significant distances, and queue times can vary significantly.
In essence, it allows you to automatically monitor wait times using Bluetooth.
By combining the information from InLocality, our InLocality Queue software can automatically determine wait times. Used in a transport scenario, you could determine which plane people are coming off, and inform people waiting when people from that plane are coming through the door.
When combined with information from turnstiles InLocality Queue can often give improved feedback as to how long they will really be waiting..
Based on Bluetooth Technology, InLocality's Indoor Tracking technology can assist you learning more about your customers. What are the normal traffic patterns? Do people normally stop for a drink at a mobile stall after waiting for the roller coaster? If so, can revenue be increased by having drinks always available there? Or do people only buy drinks when the wait is more than 20 minutes. With InLocality's technology, we can give you the tools to analyze your business.
InLocality gives the advantage of tracking people who have actively configured their phones to acknowledge their presence. Whilst the information obtained does uniquely identify a phone, and therefore a person, there is no central database allocating the number to a name. This protects the privacy of the person being tracked. Of course there are ways to connect the two up if this is needed, but only with the consent of the owner of the phone. Without their consent, the best we can do is to determine the brand, and maybe model of the phone.
