InLocality Blue - Technology
The core concept behind InLocality Indoor Tracking is very simple. Most mobile telephones these days have the Bluetooth capability built in. If this capability of mobile phones can be somehow utilised then the cell phone can be tracked. That is where InLocality comes in. We have worked out how to track mobile phones in offices.
By installing a number of Bluetooth devices in a building we are able to track the phone as it moves about. To reduce the cost, we are able to use existing IT Infrastructure to distribute the job of data collection. A Bluetooth dongle installed on computers around our office in association with our custom software will allow users in the office to be tracked.
Our server software collates all the collected information from the field and turns the reports into position reports for each phone.
People who are concerned about Bluetooth Tracking and their privacy will find that their privacy is protected. Since Bluetooth is used rather than the phone transmissions, simply turning off 'Bluetooth Browsing' will cause the phone to disappear from the network.
