InLocality Blue - Case Studies
A leading author of Windows Mobility software in Australia had a problem. Their programming staff were quite productive but worked erratic hours. As their project manager often worked from home this made managing the project somewhat difficult.
InLocality Blue was installed on a small scale to monitor the programming staff. The cellphones of two of the team members were monitored by InLocality Blue allowing the manager to see when the programmers were at their desks. By having the InLocality WhoNearMe screen open during the day, the manager was able to better manage the work of the team, even to the point of knowing when a good time to phone the team members would be.
For the team members, knowing the data was only being used for live status reporting was a benefit. The staff were able to view InLocality as a tool rather than as an intrusion on their lives.
