Site Redesign - 12-Dec-2008

Indoor Tracking business InLocality have just implemented a site redesign process aimed at repositioning the business. We are introducing a logo to go with our name on the header.

Logo Only

The logo consists of a blue sphere surrounded by the suggestion of three rings. Whilst the logo may appear abstract, there is symbolism in the design. The blue sphere alludes to the a planet, such as earth. The blue in that case indicates the water on the planet and life. The blue also suggest the connection to Bluetooth, a core technology used by InLocality.

The rings also suggest this planetary connection, suggesting a connection with one of the larger ringed planets such as Jupiter or Saturn. Whilst those two planets are believed to be lifeless, the rings tend to draw the imagination to something larger, but full of life.

The sphere can also suggest that the most important thing is in the centre, a concept that we want to convey with our InLocality name.

The new header brings a subscript along with the name. This header splits further the 'In' from the 'Locality', whilst continuing the strong connection. The subscript is important. It suggests that the person is what is important. It is not the business or anything else. This time it is personal.

All these pieces of branding are new and crisp. They suggest an openness, bringing the company into the light. For reference, our old banner appears below.
